Please carefully read the Terms and Conditions before you enrol.

Spanishjuice is the trading name of Travel & Tuition, S.L. and shall be referred to as Spanishjuice from this point on. The “client” or “student” is the person or persons in whose name the booking is made or on whose behalf the booking is made.

Spanishjuice acts as agent for Spanish schools which offer and supply students with tuition and accommodation for Spanish language courses in Spain.

1. Enrolment and Payment

By enrolling, you accept the terms and conditions of Spanishjuice. The enrolment is made through our online booking form. No booking is valid until Spanisjuice has issued a confirmation e-mail (an automated e-mail acknowledging receipt of an order does not constitute a course confirmation). Spanishjuice will issue course confirmation after it has received a completed online booking form, a EUR 150 course deposit and the availability has been confirmed by the school. If your chosen course is not available, we will provide suitable alternatives or refund your money. If the remaining balance of the order is not paid by the due date (14 days prior to departure), the company reserves the right to cancel the client’s booking and to impose the cancellation charges, stated below. In the case of a late enrolment, 2 weeks (or less) the remaining amount has to be paid upon receipt of the course confirmation. It may be necessary to pay in full before any necessary visa applications can be processed.

2. Change of Reservation

Spanishjuice reserves the right to charge an additional fee of EUR 75.00 per person per change to cover the cost of any significant changes by the student to their booking, after the course confirmation has been issued. A change of school is considered as a cancellation in accordance with the conditions stated below.

If the client wishes to change their booking in any way once the course has started may be possible at additional cost depending on availability and can only be arranged with the agreement of the Spanish school. Please contact the school directly if you wish to change your accommodation option or want any other change

3. Alterations or Cancellation by the Company

The company will do its utmost to provide the arrangements that have been confirmed, but it must reserve the right to modify or cancel a programme if unforeseen circumstances arise.

If the company cancel or significantly alter an essential element of the client’s course for reasons of force majeure, on or before the date when the payment of the balance becomes due, the company shall inform the client as soon as possible in writing and shall offer them the choice of an alternative programme and/or accommodation of at least comparable standard if available. If the company is unable to offer an alternative of similar price, the company will offer the nearest available alternative and will refund the difference paid by the client.

If force majeure occurs while the course is in progress, the company will try to make reasonable alternative arrangements of at least comparable standard if available. Lessons lost as a result of force majeure will not be recovered.

Please note that Groups Spanish Language Courses need a minimum of 4 students to run. In the rare event that the school has not enough students to run a group class of your level, we reserve the right to cancel your course up to 48 hours prior to the start of the course. Spanishjuice may ask you to move to another centre as close as possible to your chosen location, to join a group class that is definitely running or will offer you an alternative course or individual tuition up to the value you have paid for group classes, rather than put you in a class at the wrong level. The number of private lessons will necessarily be fewer than the group course booked.

4. Cancellation by the Client and Visa Problems

If the client wishes to cancel their booking before arrival this must be done in writing (e-mail) by the client or person who completed the booking. The date of cancellation will be taken as the date that the company receives the e-mail.

Spanishjuice reserve the right to apply the following cancellation charges:

30 days or more before departure = deposit only

15 – 29 days before departure = 50%

0 – 14 days before departure = 100%

After the start of course or in the case of an early return, no refund is granted.

It is recommended to contract a cancellation insurance upon enrolment to cover the cancellation costs if you cannot attend the course for medical reasons.

If you are forced to cancel the course due to visa denial after a timely visa application,
all payments and deposits will be returned subject to a EUR 200 cancellation fee. The refund will be made upon presentation of an official rejection letter from the consulate that clearly states the student´s name, passport number and the type of visa requested. If we have not received such a document at least 2 weeks prior to your departure, cancellation fees in accordance with the conditions specified above will apply.

5. Responsibility of the Company

Spanishjuice cannot be held responsible for the failure or improper performance of the services initially planned where such failure or improper performance is attributable to providers, the fault of the client, unavoidable actions of an unconnected third party or unusual circumstances including force majeure. Spanishjuice assumes no responsibility for compensation requests linked to airline agreements, delay, overbooking or cancellation by an airline, bus or train. Spanishjuice cannot be held responsible in the case of an accident in the place of the stay or during the journey.

Spanishjuice accepts responsibility as a language travel agent for the authenticity of the information in our website and the accuracy of the website content. Spanishjuice makes every effort to ensure that all parts of the course are supplied as described. The company acts as a language travel agent and cannot be held responsible for any eventual changes to the programme (courses, classes, accommodation details, etc.) which its partner schools may be forced to make.

Spanishjuice reserves the right to change, without prior notice, the content of its website as well as the chosen service providers.

6. Student Visas

It is the student’s responsibility to fulfill the requirements and conditions which are necessary for the execution of the journey to the course, such as obtaining a visa, passports, valid insurance, customs rules, health instructions etc. To deliver the required visa documents the schools may charge an additional courier delivery fee for courses booked on short notice before the start of the course. The student must provide necessary details for the proper delivery of the document. Schools may need the full payment of course and accommodation cost before issuing any necessary document to obtain a valid visa.

7. Conditions of Admission

Spanishjuice and our partner schools reserve the right to refuse an enrolment or to expel a participant from the school without the right to any refund in case of a serious disciplinary offence, bad behavior or if it breaks the Spanish law. All of the fees, including the return journey, fines, etc. are at the expense of the participant or of the parents. The participants, or their legal guardian, are responsible for any damages, damages caused to third parties or losses caused during their stay. Any expenses claimed will be charged to the student, who will have no right to later claims.

8. Insurance

Clients maybe asked to provide evidence of adequate alternative insurance at the time of booking. European Union nationals are insured through the state insurance fund against accident and illness. Before travelling you should apply for the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) from your local health insurance office. Non-European Community nationals should have an international health insurance policy that is valid for Spain. Spanishjuice reserves the right to refuse to accept bookings from clients who are not adequately insured.

9. Courses

Classes at our partner schools generally run from Monday to Friday, starting on Mondays (unless Monday is a public holiday). Lesson duration varies between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the partner school. The exact number of minutes per lesson is usually shown on the website. There will be no classes on public holidays. Public holiday dates provided on the website are subject to alteration by national and local authorities and should only be used as a guide.

Every student, excluding complete beginners will be required to complete a language level assessment, either on the first Monday of their course or prior to arrival, after which they will be placed into an appropriate classroom to their language level. Lessons may be missed due to level testing and induction activities on the first day of a course. In some schools, the first lesson will be lost and in others a large part of the day may be dedicated to welcome activities.

Lessons may also be lost at the end of a course due to evaluation tests. The company does not accept any liability for lessons missed due to these reasons and no refunds will be given where lessons are missed due to testing.

Please note that the class times listed on our website may be subject to change if a lot of people are enrolled at the school and another class must open. Group classes may also take place in the afternoon in high season.

10. Accommodation

The desired type of accommodation will be assigned by the school and is arranged according to availability. All accommodation requests are subject to availability. Students aged 17 years old must only be placed in half board homestay accommodation. Normally accommodation is booked for one week (6 nights) from Sunday (=day before start of course) until the Saturday (=day after end of course), unless otherwise indicated. If the student needs to stay more nights the school charges an additional supplement for extra nights. The school will try to fulfill all preferences which may be listed explicitly in the comment field of the registration form. The student will receive detailed information about the accommodation approximately 1-2 weeks before the start of the course. Accommodation is generally arranged on a single room basis per student. Where shared room accommodation is offered, it is offered to students travelling and booking together either as friends or as a couple. Please note that seasonal surcharges may apply to certain types of accommodation.

11. Course material

Course materials fees are not included except where specifically stated in the price of the stay. The price of course material varies between EUR 20 and EUR 100. Examination fees are not included and it is to be paid on-site.

12. Airport Transfers

The student can purchase an airport transfer within the enrolment form. This service includes a meeting service at the airport to take you direct to your accommodation. All flight information should be sent at least one week before arrival.

This service is also available at additional cost for the return trip. If you do not book this service, you will not be met at the airport – we will provide details of how to travel to your accommodation by public transport.

13. Activities and Excursions

Descriptions of activities and excursions offered at our schools are for guidance only. Some activities may not run at all or may be substituted by other activities. Please contact us prior to booking if you require specific information about any of the activities offered during your stay.

14. Public Holidays

Where a course takes place during a public holiday, no lessons will take place on that day and classes are not made up unless otherwise indicated. No reduction in price will be given except where specifically stated. Please consult list of public holidays dates provided on the website. Please note public holiday dates should only be used as a guide as are often subject to change.

15. Certificates

The student will receive a Certificate of Attendance only if attends at least 85% of the classes; the certificate will confirm the level of study.

16. Special Requirements

Any special requests must be advised to the company in writing.

17. Complaints Procedure

Any complaint relating a partner school or accommodation arrangements must be made directly to the school and during the duration of the stay. The student is obliged to inform the school management immediately and to request remedy. If your approach to the school is not effective, contact Spanishjuice. We will respond to all reasonable complaints and do all we can to resolve the situation. If the problem cannot be solved directly, you can demand a written report from the school and address it to us with your complaint in writing, at the latest 7 days following your return. Any complaint made after this deadline is inadmissible.
